D&G Killer Jeans Demo, Saturday 1 October, London

10am-1pm

Sandblasting of jeans is causing a deadly lung disease which is killing workers around the world who make jeans for D&G.

Join ex-jean sandblasting worker Abdulhalim Demir, visiting from Turkey, in a demo outside D&G on Bond Street to tell D&G to ban the production of killer jeans. Sandblasting is a process used to make denim look faded and worn out. It involves blasting sand at high pressures, which breaks down into a fine silica powder, gathers in workers' lungs, and causes Silicosis - an often fatal disease.

Come dressed in black to join a funeral style demo, with coffin and undertakers.
