Carphone Warehouse: Union-Busting Scum

Carphone Warehouse

London call-centre trade unionists have organised a number of events in support of CWU activists Sulinder Kumar and Kulwinder Plaha, who have been victimised by Carphone Warehouse for standing up for their fellow workers at the logistics centre in Wednesbury in the West Midlands. Sulinder is a CWU rep and has been sacked. Kulwinder has been suspended and is under threat of being dismissed.

Activities planned so far:

Wednesday 29 July: Old Street Carphone Warehouse, leafletting from 12 noon (Old St. Tube exit 7)

Thursday 30 July: Quiz night starts 9.15pm at the Litten Tree, Old Street, to raise solidarity for Sulinder and Kulwinder --great prizes! Four players per team, £1 per player (CWU members 50p), register at patrickcarmody@hotmail.com

Wednesday 1 August: Mass leafletting of Carphone Warehouse from 12 noon at Carphone Warehouse shop, 4 Oxford Street (nearest tube Tottenham Court Road). We want as many delegations from the trade union movement as possible.
