The London Socialist Feminist Discussion Group meets monthly. Everyone is
welcome to attend the debates and discussions, which are very informal.

Our planned programme of discussions includes such things as Sex Work, Women

In 1968, a group of female sewing machinists went on strike against a
sex-biased grading structure. The 1970 Equal Pay Act followed shortly after.

Solidarity with the Iranian workers' movement

As part of the week of action in solidarity Iranian workers supported by
international unions including the International Transport Workers'
Federation, activists in Britain will be demonstrating outside the embassy
of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Thursday 9 August. We will be demanding
the release of all worker, women's rights and student activists jailed by
the Islamist regime, starting with Tehran busworkers' leader Mansour

12.30. Circular route back to Clerkenwell Green for rally a 1.30 PM.
