Building solidarity among workers’ worldwide.
No Sweat is a grassroots campaign group that builds solidarity with independent trade unions in the global south, amplifying their voices and supporting their struggles against
worker exploitation and the sweatshop bosses.
WHO WE ARE
WE ARE FOR:
★ A Living Wage
★ Safe Working Conditions
★ Independent Trade Unions
All workers, in every country, need and deserve their rights.
In order to enforce their rights they need to organise – the stronger the union, the safer the workplace!
WE AIM TO:
★ Build solidarity with workers groups
★ Help fund independent trade unions
★ Hold corporations accountable as the root cause of sweatshops
Sweatshop labour is modern, global capitalism stripped bare.
From the small, backstreet sweatshop to some of the biggest corporations in the world – child labour, forced overtime,
poverty wages, unsafe conditions, harassment of women workers and intimidation of trade unionists are commonplace.
No Sweat stands for workers’ solidarity.
We want radical solutions to the problem of worker exploitation.
We focus on the voices that are not being heard because NGO’s aren’t being funded for it.
Campaign
We campaign against any brand that has exploitation as a business model.
From recognisable high street names like Next and Primark, to global giants like Nike, GAP, and Disney, we have organised protests against them all. We act in solidarity with the workers around the world, who face exploitation in sweatshops making products for these brands; to lift their voices up and call for change.
WHOLESALE CLOTHING
We are taking the fight inside the garment industry
Our own range of wholesale organic clothing is made in garment factories in Bangladesh that have strong, independent trade unions.
The money generated by sales is used to fund our campaign to fight sweatshop labour and support workers groups around the world through the Garment Workers Solidarity Fund.
Donate
Garment Workers Solidarity Fund
Through events, T-shirt sales and generous donations from supporters we raise money not only for our campaign work but also for independent trade unions in the garment industry.
We have set up a Garment Workers Solidarity Fund to send money directly to the people that need it most, garment workers in struggle.
